Visited April 12, 2013. Student population of Loyola Chicago is 65% Catholic, with 6,000 undergraduates. Unbelievable new construction on campus. There is a beautiful student center. The library is amazing, looking out over the lake. Campus is divided into two sections — North campus is residential and South campus is the academic area. This school is not as academically-oriented as Marquette. They have an excellent nursing school — 65% female. The Jesuit values toward education are Education of the Whole Person — history/math/literature/theology. Loyola also has an environmental campus 2 1/2 hours north of the main campus.
